MD is a community dedicated to Marvel and it's drabbles and fanfiction.
Everyday at midnight (eastern time) a new challenge will go up in which everyone can partake whenever they feel the need.
Then each Sunday there will be a weekly challenge, again where everyone can participate in.
We also have a bunch of Tables Challenges you can do whenever you feel like it.
Then the 1st of every month there will be a special month long challenge.

There are hundreds of Marvel Universe floating around, but for this community we are only dealing with the main ones.
Those would be 616, Ultimate, and Movieverse!

All claims are still open, so stop by and claim your favorite character and/or pairing!

You may claim as much as you'd like, with no time limits as to when the fics are due.

Timing is everything when it comes to writing. Without a due date, most of us get lost and lose interest along the way.

At [info]t_31_bang, you're not under the gun, but that ticking coming from your keyboard can't be good.

Want to challenge yourself, without really challenging yourself? 5000 words in 20 days, it's not all that complicated.

Pad your resume, stuff your bra, but with our minimum word count, there's no need to fluff out those short stories. That's why we're called the Mini-Big Bang.

The Monster's Carol (also known as "Clerics Roasting on an Open Fire") was my entry in the 1993 Killer Frog contest, run by Scavenger's Newsletter. Sadly, Scav seems to have gone out of business a while back - or, at least, I can't find any links to them any more. In any case, I won an honorable mention with it, and now I'm happy to share the lyrics, as long as you mention where you got them. The music, on the other hand, was written by Bob Wells in 1944 (Mel Torme wrote the original lyrics).

In [info]toextraordinary, all of the events that occurred during the first two seasons of Heroes occurred. What is different is what comes after.

It is now August 2007. Anything is possible.

Elements from Season 3 may be worked in as they come (events from the first fifteen minutes that were leaked have already been worked in).

We're four months post season 2 and will be pulling in elements of Season 3 as they come. Canon only. Also: everything is written in first person. This is an intensive play and not everybody is going to be cut out for it. There are themes (not just slash, but it is there too, particularly Petrellicest--but don't worry: the boys keep it to a minimum and mostly it's not out in the open) that you might not be comfortable with. This is a setting based on psychology and motivation. If you are not a roleplayer who can delve into the depth and psyche of the character, I'm sorry, but we don't want you. Serious roleplayers only. We are also an 18+ comm, considering the subject matter.

There's no particular plot, but characters are doing their own thing.
